Finally a little art !! LOL!!!

Finally, I can post some of my artwork !! We have the Internet at home now and My scanner has been humming !! LOL!! The pieces I will post on this entry are ones I just finished for a Swap. These are all ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) that measure 3 1/2 x2 1/2inches. Mini pieces of art.. lol !! I trade these with others that make ATCs from a mix of medias. It is so much fun and I have grown in my Zentangle work. I have some a great teacher that have taken me under her wing. I am blessed to call her friend now! I hope she will soon allow me to post some of her works here !! Sandra has added my pieces to her blogspot ( http://www.lifeimitatesdoodles.blogspot.com/ )several times and it really makes me smile !!! Thank you Sandra !!

  1. Hi there!

My name is Fernando, I'm an illustrator from Brazil. I was checking out your doodles on flickr tonight when I bumped into your story....I just wanted you to know how inspiring I think it is the way you are dealing with the hard times you and your family are facing. Your artwork is pretty impressive and very uplifting....I really enjoyed looking at it and I'm sure your husband is very proud of you for doing it...I hope he gets well soon and get to live and support your art for many years to come...

    best wishes,

    Fernando Rohde

ps: I'm adding you as a contact on flickr, ok?

  3. Oh Thank you both !!! Fernando, I am so touched by your comment ! It sure makes this ole Kansas USA farmgirl feel good! Especially knowing that you do artwork professionally . Wow ! I have a big smile on my face right now as I post this comment !

Shelly, I keep meaning to explain my screen name.. so hear it is, not sure anyone will check back, but here it is ... That is the name my Lakota Grandmother gave to me. No I am not Lakota Sioux, but was adopted into the tribe by her. Confusing I know, but once an elder takes you under their wings, you are family. I was given the name Rose first, as she saw me open up like a rose while I was on the Rosebud Reservation one summer. Then as we walked around her house on day we found a feather from her goose. She gave it to me and we continued to walk. Further around the house we found another feather.. she gave it to me and said in very broken english.. " Now you are Rose Twofeather !!! " That seems to be how the names are often given. Something happens the day you were born or later in life an event happens and you get that name. An uncle was given the name Bootsie. I asked Unci (Lakota for Grandmother) why Bootsie. She just grinned and said because he lost his boots in the mud ! LOL!!! Anyway that is why I use the screen name Rose Twofeather ! Maybe I need to post this at flickr as well as I have been asked many times ! Off to do that now !!!

    Hugs to you both...
